Ben Bookwalter has over two decades of experience in the construction and general contracting sectors. He specializes in commercial, municipal, residential, and mixed-use development projects. He is a key team member of Core Consulting Group Inc. (CORE) which is a nationally recognized Construction Consulting firm with combined Construction and Architectural expertise, based in San Diego, California. Core Consulting's services include forensic architecture, building envelope investigations, first and third-party insurance claims, and unlimited consulting expertise to those served. Prior to joining the Core Consulting team, Ben was the Senior Project Manager at Murfey Company. During his tenure with Murfey Company, he managed all aspects from pre-construction and design management through project completion on time and within budget. To ensure successful negotiations on behalf of Murfey Company and its key stakeholders; homeowners, investors, and developers, contract management and dispute resolution were critical areas of focus, providing unbiased investigative and analytic services in settling the wide-ranging construction issues that arise during the development process. Ben was also Founder and President of Eco Remodels and handled all facets of sales, project management, and construction supervision through the principals of design and science behind the building process.

While employed at Murfey Company, Ben was responsible from the moment a potential project came to the company, supervising the estimating of the job and pitching the roles as General Contractor directly to the owners of the project. From 2015 to 2020, Ben managed 75% of Murfey Company's gross revenue. During his last year at the company, Ben personally brought in, executed, and closed a contract totaling 10% of the gross revenue of 2020.

Volunteered more than 1,000 hours as an Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) for UVM's Rural Emergency Medical Response team.
Volunteered nearly 200 hours for the Green Mountain Club, assisting in the construction of a remote hiker's cabin/lodge on the Sunset Ridge trail of Mount Mansfield.
Crewed with several of San Diego's competitive sailing teams in notorious races including the San Diego to Oceanside race, CRA's Beer-Can series, SDYC's Hot Rum Races, and the San Diego to Ensenada race where Mexico and U.S. registered boats compete in a charity regatta around the Island of Todos Santos.
Ben is an avid enthusiast for all things outdoors. Having moved to San Diego over twenty years ago, he enjoys all the attributes Southern California offers including surfing, sailing, lobster fishing, and riding motorcycles across the desert. He is married to his beautiful wife Jessica and together, they have a 6-year-old son, Parker, who shares his love for the outdoors as well. The two can often be found fishing together on the coastline or riding bikes on the trails. Ben has a zest for life and an infectious entrepreneurial spirit as well as a drive for success that motivates him each and every day!
